Only red flag of the session was for Sebastien Bourdais locking up his tires and sliding into the Turn 7 runoff area. Bourdais would stall trying to turn around instead of driving through the runoff, bringing out a three minute red flag.
Rookie Felix Rosenqvist would slide into the Turn 3 runoff near the end of the session, but would manage to continue.
